The following additional network features are automatically available for all B-Mobile Pre-Paid customers.

Refer to the mobile phone owner's guide that comes with your phone, for instructions on how to use the handset features.

CALLER ID   Top

Caller ID displays the phone number or name (depending on your handset) of the caller on the screen of your handset.

There is no charge for this service.

SHORT MESSAGE SERVICE (SMS)   Top

As soon as SMS launched you will be able to send and receive text messages of up to 140 characters. You will be charged for every successfully sent text message but not for receiving text messages.

First, make sure the Message Center Number is set at +675 6818801 in your phone. Refer to your mobile phone owner's guide for full details of how to send and receive SMS messages and how to set the Number in your phone.

CALL DIVERSION   Top

You may also prefer to have all your calls diverted to a Fixed Line number of your choice where necessary. Please refer to your phone manual provided with your mobile phone for setting up this Call Divert feature.

VOICEMAIL   Top

People may try to call you and your B-Mobile phone may be off, out of coverage busy or unanswered. With Voicemail you can still receive these calls in your voicemail box and retrieve them latter. You never have to miss an important call again.

Programming the types of Voicemail diversion from your mobile phone is easy. You can:

* Divert all calls to voicemail without ringing
* Divert to Voicemail when busy
* Divert to Voicemail if not answered
* Divert to Voicemail when the phone is off or out of coverage and
* Cancel all or any Voicemail diversion.

Please refer to the instruction in the user guide provided with your mobile phone to program the Voicemail diversions.

Setting up your Phone for Voicemail   Top

You will need to enter your voicemail diversion number in your phone by following the instructions in the user guide provided with your mobile phone.

Your voicemail number is 1150xxxxxxx where x characters represent your mobile phone number. For example if your mobile phone number is 6830000 then your voicemail number will be 11506830000.

Charges   Top

You are only charged for voicemail when your retrieve voice messages, modify your greeting or change your password. Standard B-Mobile or Telikom rates apply when leaving messages.

You will be advised via a text message when a voicemail has been left in your mailbox.

To retrieve, save or delete messages:

1. Dial 1151 + send - From your mobile phone
2. Enter your 4-digit security code followed by # (the default code is 1234).
3. Enter:2 to play the message, 6 to play the next message, 4 to go back to the last message 76 to erase the message * For help

If you do not erase messages your receive they will be stored for a maximum of 7 days after they are read or 21 days if they are unread.

After that they will be deleted by the system.

The system can store a maximum of 7 minutes of voice messages.

Note: callers will be given a maximum of 90 seconds to leave their message.

Accessing your Voicemail from a fixed line service   Top

Dial 1151 + your B-mobile phone number then follow the voice prompts.

For example dial 11516830000 if your mobile number is 683 0000.

Telikom PNG ltd call charges will apply for this service.

To Record a Personal Greeting

1. Dial 1151 + send - from your mobile phone
2. Enter your 4-digit security code followed by # (the default code is 1234).
3. Enter 8 followed by * for options, 2 to change the greeting, 1 to record your new greeting
5 to begin recording your greeting, # When you have finished recording the greeting can be up to 90 seconds long.
2 to hear your greeting, 76 to erase the greeting if you are not happy with it. Then go back to re-record.

"Thank you for calling (your name or number) unfortunately Iam unavailable. Please leave a message after the tone and I will get back to your as soon as possible. Thank you"

SIM Security Codes (PIN 1 and PIN 2)   Top

PIN 1 and 2 codes are embedded in the SIM provided by B-Mobile and the default code is 1234. PIN code 1, if enabled, is required to be entered each time the phone is powered up protecting your phone from misuse.

PIN code 2, id enabled is required to be entered each time certain features are accessed on the menu of your mobile phone. This protects certain phone settings from being changed.

Security codes can be disabled, enabled or changed using the menu on your handset. Please refer to the user guide provided with your phone for more information on security codes.

Security codes, is used, should be recorded and stored in a sage place not with your phone incase they are forgotten.

To further protect your phone from unauthorized use, only three wrong attempts can be made to enter the PIN before it blocks preventing further attempts. The phone will then request for a Personal Unblocking Key (PUK) to be entered. Ten wrong attempts to enter the PUK will disable the SIM rendering it useless and it will have to be replaced. A fee applies for SIM replacement.

If a PUK code is requested, customers should bring their phone back to their point of purchase to unblock the phone. Owner identification will be required before unblocking and a fee may apply.
